Smoke and Haze Will Linger Over The State For The Start Of The Day!

Smoky skies will linger over the region this morning as ongoing fires in Northern California smoke drifts into our area. The shift from southwest wind to west wind will allow the air quality to improve today. The air quality has gone back and forth from good to moderate in central Montana, but a few towns in southern Montana air have stayed unhealthy and unhealthy for sensitive groups. Overall, today will be a pleasant summer day; the skies will remain mostly sunny, the wind will blow comfortably, and the region will warm back into the upper 80s and 90s.

Saturday will stay warm, but a dry front will move through the area and will increase the wind for the state. With the conditions remaining dry, the hot temperatures, and the low humidity will again increase fire danger for the state.

Sunday, the state will be a tad breezy at times. The sunny stick around, and the temperatures will warm back into the upper 80s and 90s; eastern Montana temperatures will climb back into the triple digits.

Have a great day,
A.R.😊
