Although Helena stayed dry yesterday, today will be a different story. Storms will move into the Capital City this afternoon and will continue during the evening hours. Great Falls could see 1-2 isolated showers or thunderstorms, but overall the weather will be much quieter.

Friday, a Canadian cold front will usher in more stormy weather for north-central Montana. Storm activity will be centralized on the Hi-Line and the Rocky Mountain Front, and storms will push southeast throughout the evening. Helena will see less rain than Great Falls, but scattered showers are possible.

Rainfall should be out of Montana for the weekend, although there could be isolated storms in the mountains. Heading into next week, high pressure will build over Montana, leaving us with calmer, warmer weather.
