Strong to Severe Storms Beat the Heat

and last updated

Scattered thunderstorms through Wednesday evening will become more widespread on Thursday. A pair of low pressures will move through Montana with clouds, showers, thunderstorms and cooler temperatures. The first low will travel through central and eastern Montana in the morning, and the second low will work through western Montana in the afternoon. The afternoon storms could become severe with powerful, damaging wind. Highs will be held down in the 70s and 80s with the cloud cover and the storms. Friday will be a drier day with just a few isolated thunderstorms over southern Montana, possibly as far north as Helena and Lewistown. An afternoon breeze will increase to 25mph at times. Highs will be in the 80s. This weekend is looking beautiful. Saturday will be mostly sunny with a few isolated storms in central and eastern Montana. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s with wind up to 25mph. High pressure will settle over the state on Sunday with sunny skies, light wind, and warm temperatures in the 80s. Another increase in heat is likely next week, the final week of July.
Have a great day.
