A RED FLAG WARNING has been issued for most of Montana east of the Continental Divide.

A HIGH WIND WARNING has been issued Cascade, Choteau, Judith Basin, and Fergus.

A LAKE WIND ADVISORY has been issued for Fort Peck Lake.

A Pacific cold front will sweep through the region and bring strong west wind, cooler temperatures for some, and showers that will fall west of the Continental Divide. The showers may spill into central Montana, and will leave minimal coverage. Strong west winds will push smoke and haze out of the state, which should improve the air quality. The wind will blow the strongest off the Rocky Mountain Front and could blow down trees, limbs, and even cause a few power outages. The wind will slightly subside tonight but will pick back up tomorrow. The high temperatures will be much cooler in some areas west of the Divide, central Montana high temperatures will remain in the 70s, and eastern Montana will stay in the 80s.

Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy, cool, and windy.

Saturday and Sunday will be windy, cool, and wet at times.

Next week a high-pressure system will allow temperatures to warm back to the 70s and keep the conditions dry.

Have a great day.
