The final weekend of July will be beautiful. After the hottest day of the year earlier this week, a cooler airmass will settle over the state for the weekend. High temperatures will be in the 70s and 80s under mostly sunny skies. Both days there could be an isolated thunderstorm over the southern mountains if you are traveling there. At times a little breeze will increase so please watch the fire danger. Nights will be cool with lows dipping into the 40s to around 50. Enjoy the lovely weekend weather because the heat is back next week. Monday's temperatures will soar back into the 90s. A few thunderstorms are likely on Tuesday which will provide temporary relief from the heat. For the remainder of the week, highs will be in the 80s and 90s. There is a chance a few towns will come close to 100 degrees on Friday. Another cold front will bring temperatures back down into the 80s for the first weekend in August.
Enjoy!
