A viewer from Toston grabbed this picture of a cloud and said it looked like a wing. A warmup is headed our way on the wings of a southerly flow over the next few days. Thursday will be mostly sunny with light wind, but a few isolated thunderstorms will develop over western Montana near the Continental Divide through the afternoon and evening. Some of these isolated storms will drift northeast off the Rocky Mountain Front and out across north-central Montana. Highs will be warm in the 70s to around 80. Friday could be the warmest day so far this year for many towns with highs in the 80s and 90s. Once again isolated thunderstorms will develop in western and central Montana through the afternoon and evening. This weekend a new storm system will bring strong wind and scattered storms on Saturday. Sunday will be much cooler, windy, with showers and mountain snow showers. After a dry day Monday, more clouds, showers and cool temperatures will move across the state for Tuesday and Wednesday. Continued periods of cool, wet weather will be mixed with warmer and drier spells through the end of June. But the cool, wet periods are certainly valuable at this time of year.
Have a great day.
