Today the wind will pick up throughout Montana. The gusty winds will begin to increase along the Rocky Mountain Front and spread across central and north-central Montana. Southwest winds will be gusting between 30 to 40mph this afternoon. Today's wake up temperatures; in the single digits, teens and 20's for around The Treasure State. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued due to the blowing of snow and gusty winds. The blowing of snow could reduce visibility, and the drifting of snow could lead to some lane blockages. Portions of western Montana roads remain slick, and some roads even covered with black ice. A favorable weather pattern will produce warmer temperatures for the next few days, due to the downslope of winds. Sunshiny skies will stick around for the next few days, and the next chance of light snow will be Thursday going into Friday. The system looks mild and will only produce slight snow showers. The rest of the temperatures will remain favorable.
