Welcome to the weekend! The unusual winter weather continues as mild temperatures and dry conditions return. Most of the state will have comfortable temperatures, sunshine and not a lot of wind this weekend. High pressure has redeveloped across the West and will make for a pretty quiet weekend. One issue will be areas of fog in the morning, and then stronger wind off of the Rocky Mountain Front on Sunday. Otherwise, benign is the word. Mild weather will continue into early next week as a Pacific flow will bring in even warmer temperatures and a decent amount of cloud cover. Highs early in the week will be in the 40s and 50s. Strong southwest wind will increase through Monday and Tuesday. A cold front will move through the state on Wednesday with rain and snow showers in the lower elevations, and a little snow in the mountains. The wind will be wicked again on Wednesday, as some gusts will top 50mph. Another mild Pacific front will move through on Friday. Overall for the later half of January, temperatures will be closer to normal with more consistent snow in the mountains. Here comes winter!
Have a great weekend!
