Change is the name of the weather game through the weekend. The first change is a positive one with cleaner air moving into most of Montana. High pressure will make for clear skies and a refreshing night into Friday morning. Friday will be fantastic with clear skies, cleaner air, warm temperatures and light wind. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s. This weekend will feature some big shifts from Saturday to Sunday. Saturday will be mostly sunny, windy and warm with low humidity. The fire danger will be very high with much of the state looking at Red Flag Warning conditions. Existing fires could grow and new fires could spread quickly in this situation. Highs will reach the upper 80s to around 90. A cold front will move through the state on Sunday morning with showers and higher elevation snow. Snowflakes could fall as low as 6500' on the Rocky Mountain Front and in the central mountains. At best, a light accumulation of an inch or so is possible Temperatures will start off cool in the 40s and only rise into the 60s for highs. The mountains will be significantly cooler with highs in the 30s and 40s. Monday will be slightly warmer with highs in the 60s and 70s, partly cloudy skies, and a few rain showers will move through central and southern areas. Tuesday and Wednesday, strong wind and low humidity will increase the fire danger once again. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s.

Have a great day.
