Good Morning and Happy Wednesday! It was warm and windy yesterday as highs were in the 80s and upper 70s and peak wind gusts were between 40 and 60 mph in a lot of locations.

Here is today's forecast:

The strongest winds today will be in eastern portions of north-central Montana and northeastern Montana where sustained wind speeds are going to be between 15 and 30 mph, and wind gusts over 50 mph are possible. In western portions of north-central Montana and around Helena, the wind will be weaker today than it was yesterday, but it is still going to be breezy in a lot of areas as sustained wind speeds are going to be between 10 and 25 mph, and gusts up to 40 mph are possible. A LAKE WIND ADVISORY remains in effect for Fort Peck Lake until 8pm today.

There were scattered showers and thunderstorms around yesterday afternoon/evening and overnight as a cold front passed through our area. Today in north-central Montana, it is going to be partly cloudy and there will be some more scattered showers and thunderstorms around, generally during the afternoon and evening. Around Helena, it is also going to be partly cloudy today and there will be a few showers and thunderstorms around, generally during the afternoon/evening and generally in the mountains. It is also going to be cooler today than it was yesterday as highs are only going to be in the mid to upper 60s and low to mid 70s.

There will be some more scattered showers and thunderstorms around tomorrow, generally in north-central Montana and especially during the afternoon/evening, as another disturbance passes through our area. It is also going to be partly cloudy tomorrow in north-central Montana and partly to mostly sunny tomorrow around the Helena area.

Highs tomorrow will be in the mid to upper 60s and low to mid 70s, so it will feel pretty nice outside. There is also going to be a bit of a breeze around tomorrow as sustained wind speeds are going to be between 5 and 20 mph.

Friday will be a beautiful day as high pressure will briefly be in control of our weather. On Friday, it is going to be partly to mostly sunny, dry, and mild as highs are going to be in the 70s and low 80s. There is also only going to be a little breeze around on Friday as sustained wind speeds are going to be between 5 and 20 mph.

It will be partly to mostly cloudy on Saturday and there will be some scattered showers and thunderstorms around, generally during the PM hours and especially in central Montana and in the mountains, as a disturbance begins to pass through our area. There will then be a few more showers and thunderstorms around on Sunday, generally in the mountains and in northeastern Montana. It is also going to be partly to mostly sunny on Sunday.

Saturday will be a warm day as highs are going to be in the mid to upper 70s and low to mid 80s. The temperatures will cool back down for Father’s Day on Sunday as highs are going to be back in the mid to upper 60s and low to mid 70s. There is also going to be a breeze around in some areas this weekend as sustained wind speeds are going to be between 10 and 20 mph, and wind gusts over 30 mph are possible.

The temperatures will warm back up early next week as highs are going to be in the mid to upper 60s and low to mid 70s on Monday and the mid to upper 70s and low to mid 80s on Tuesday. It is also going to be mostly sunny and mostly dry early next week and there will be a bit of a breeze around on Tuesday as sustained wind speeds are going to be between 10 and 20 mph.
