Very Windy & A Little Wintry Weekend

Posted at
and last updated

Welcome to the weekend! The final one in September will be very windy with some showers of rain and snow, something you'd expect this time of year. While skies will be mostly sunny, there will be a lot of wind. Some gusts could top 50-60mph. Temperatures will be in the 50s to around 60 for highs, with 30s and 40s in the mountains. The wind will make it feel even colder. A little disturbance will move through Saturday night into Sunday morning with scattered rain/snow showers in the lower elevations, and a few inches of snow accumulating in the mountains above 6000'-7000'. Next week, the end of September through the beginning of October will be beautiful. High pressure will settle over the Rockies making for sunny skies, warm afternoons, and cool nights. There will not be much in the way of wind or any precipitation. Enjoy as it could be the calm before the storm...
Have a great weekend.
