We're officially one week out from the Autumnal Equinox, which marks the first day of fall. This week's weather, however, will make it feel like fall has come early.
Highs this afternoon will be in the low- to mid-80s, and we'll stay mostly dry. There is a chance of showers this evening, but the main event will begin Tuesday. Rain, clouds, and colder air will descend upon Montana as a low pressure trough moves through. This will be followed by another, more persistent low pressure system that will set up over the region. Most of the work week will be gloomy, rainy, and colder than average.
This weekend, rainfall will continue into Saturday, but the clouds should clear by Sunday as high pressure sets up.
