After a very warm and windy Thursday with temperatures reaching the 70s and 80s, a sharp cold front will bring rain and cooler temperatures for Friday through the weekend. A summer feel will give way to more fall-like conditions for the next several days.
Thursday night, a front will move out of Canada and into Montana with areas of rain. Friday will start out cloudy with areas of rain, but the rain will turn into more showery weather with a few breaks in the cloud cover in the afternoon. It will be cooler with highs in the 50s and 60s. This coming weekend looks wet again. Saturday will be on the cloudier side with just a few isolated showers. There may be a little drizzle along the Rocky Mountain Front and a few flakes of snow above about 7000' in the mountains. It will be cool with highs in the 50s to around 60. Sunday, a new storm system will move in with widespread rain showers and a few thunderstorms. Snow levels will drop to around 6500'. There will be a few inches in the Glacier area and up on the Rocky Mountain Front and Continental Divide. Highs will be in the 50s and 60s in the lower elevations, 30s and 40s in the mountains. Monday will be partly cloudy and windy with a few lingering showers. While it will be cooler, it does not look like a widespread killing frost/freeze is likely. However, the normally colder spots will see temperatures close to 32.
