Weekend Sunshine & 70's Replace Friday's Snow

Flakes were flying on Friday in the higher terrain as rain showers and thunderstorms moved over the lower elevations. That storm will not affect the weekend though, as sunshine and warmer temperatures move. Saturday will be a beautiful spring day with mostly sunny skies, light wind and warmer temperatures. Highs will reach the 60s and 70s. Sunday will not be as nice but it will not be a terrible day. After an isolated morning shower, skies will become partly cloudy allowing temperatures to rise into the 70s. That warmth though could fuel isolated thunderstorms on Sunday afternoon. The weekend will be fairly dry compared to the workweek. Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible on Monday with highs in the 70s. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Wednesday is when a big storm moves in with widespread heavy rain. Flooding is possible for parts of the state as rain totals could exceed 1-2". That storm will slowly move away on Thursday but another storm is likely for Friday heading into Memorial Day Weekend.
Have a great weekend.
