It's the first weekend of April and after a late season cold snap, warmer air is on the way. Early spring weather will prevail this weekend with some sun, clouds, snow showers, rain showers and close to average temperatures. At times there will be a few snow showers that could mix with rain over the lower elevations. Snow accumulation should be confined to the mountains. Highs will range from the 30s and 40s on Saturday to the 40s and 50s on Sunday. While it won't be the warmest weekend, it certainly will be warmer than last week. Monday will be mostly cloudy with showers in the southern part of the state. HIghs will rise into the 50s to near 60. Tuesday will be a beautiful spring day with highs in the 50s to around 60 with more sunshine. A weak cold front will slip through northern Montana on Tuedsay night bringing a little snow to the northern tier and slightly cooler temperatures on Wednesday. That cooldown will be brief as Thursday will likely be the warmest day so far this year with highs in the 60s to near 70. However, that warmup will be brief as another shot of snow and much colder temperatures are likely for Friday into next weekend.
Have a great weekend. Be safe and stay healthy.
