Wind Wanes; Sunshine, 60 degrees, and then Snow Next...

Finally! That relentless wind will die down by Thursday morning. After yet another stormy, windy day, the weather pattern is about to change before it changes again. High pressure will move in through Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Thursday will be quiet pleasant with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and warmer temperatures. The wind will increase in the afternoon to between 10-20mph, not 40-70mph like the last couple of days. Highs will be in the 40s and 50s in the lower elevations, 30s in the mountains. Friday will be the warmest day yet this year for many towns as highs rise into the 50s and 60s. A few towns in eastern Montana could even touch 70! Once again there will be a breeze of 10-20mph out of the southwest at times. In typical March fashion, after sunshine and warm there will be snow. On Saturday a cold front will move through the state with a mix of rain and snow developing. Rain will gradually change over to snow through Saturday afternoon and evening. A few inches of snow will accumulate through Saturday night into Sunday morning. Sunday will be cooler with scattered snow showers, highs will be in the 30s to around 40. Don't forget this Saturday night that we "spring forward" with the clocks as Daylight Saving Time begins. Sunset on Saturday will be near 6:30pm, Sunday will be close to 7:30pm.
Have a great day!
