Not only will the 4th be with you today, but so will the sun. A high-pressure ridge will bring mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures to the state. The high temperatures for today will stay in the upper '50s and mid to low '60s. The wind will howl throughout the day but will howl the strongest during the afternoon in central Montana. Tuesday, the wind will subside, and sunny skies will return to the state. The temperatures will remain in the '50s and '60s, but some areas in Northwest of the state could even reach 70. Wednesday will bring unsettling weather into the state. Pacific moisture will move in along with cooler temperatures and gusty wind. During mid-afternoon, a few isolated thunderstorms will begin to develop. The system will carry into Thursday, and is likely to bring snow with it. Snow showers will fall and accumulate in the higher elevations above 6000' Thursday morning.

Enjoy your day,
