HELENA — Thanksgiving will be here before we know it, and that means the Helena Food Share has already started planning and preparing for the holiday meals they'll be distributing to families in need.

The Helena Food Share is gearing up for their annual Turkey Challenge and boxed holiday meals.

This year they are hoping to have 2500 turkeys to give out as part of a Thanksgiving meal for those in need this holiday season.

You can provide an entire holiday meal for one family in need for just $25.

But as Director Bruce Day says there are more ways than one to donate and make a difference.

Day added, "You can start donating right now to help provide that Thanksgiving meal for people who are in need, you can go online to our website, it is easy to go online and donate there, you can come down to Helena Food Share write us a check and help provide the support and resources we need to be able to put a holiday meal on peoples tables and feed people throughout the year."

This year's Turkey Challenge will be Friday, November 22nd from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Lewis and Clark County Library.
