HELENA — During this ongoing global pandemic, one woman has taken it upon herself to help her community and downtown Helena businesses.
Back on March 16th, Hannah Fisher decided to start asking for monetary donations on Facebook, so she could purchase food and childrens' toys to donate to shelters around Helena.
In the last five weeks, Hannah has raised over $3,000.
Once the money is raised, Hannah partners with downtown Helena businesses to make meals or pick out toys for the kids in shelters.
So far, she has partnered with Lasso the Moon Toys, Murry’s Cafe, Benny’s Bistro, and many more.
This week, she partnered with Nosh, who will be making 75 meals for healthcare workers at St. Peter's Hospital.
"I think downtown Helena is going to see some hard times, and I think it has a special place in my heart, and I am hoping we can recover from this," Fisher said.
Hannah plans to continue organizing the donation of meals to people in need for the duration of this pandemic.
